DocsExporting

Exporting your data

The four formats and what each column holds.

Everything you sort can leave the page with its numbers attached. Four formats, the same table in all of them.

The four formats

CSV
The classic. Anything opens it.
JSON
An array of objects, one per post. For feeding another tool.
Excel (.xlsx)
A real Excel workbook, ready to open.
Google Sheets
Not a file: it copies the table to your clipboard ready to paste into a sheet. It has its own page.

They're under the bar's «⤓ Export» button. In that same menu, «Copy as CSV» copies the table as CSV to your clipboard, without downloading any file.

What each column holds

ColumnWhat it is
linkThe post's address
typevideo, photo, carousel, text, poll, article or document
likesLikes
viewsView count, where the network publishes it
commentsHow many comments
sharesTimes shared. Only LinkedIn reports it today
outlierHow many times over the median, as a number
datePublished on, as YYYY-MM-DD
repostWhether the post is a repost
textThe caption or the post's text
scriptOnly with «Export + Scripts»

Empty columns drop out on their own

If a network doesn't publish a figure, that column disappears from the file instead of arriving as zeros. An Instagram CSV has no «shares» column, because Instagram doesn't report it: a column of zeros looks like information and isn't.

The link column is never dropped, however much else is missing.

What the file is called

vf-profilename-metric.csv, with whichever extension applies. With scripts it gets -scripts on the end.

Exporting only some of them

Press «☑ Select», tick the ones you want, and export. The table comes out the same, just with those rows.

Does it cost credits?

Up to 25 posts, no. With more, the first time you export a sort costs 1 credit, and a notice asks you before it's charged. Any further exports of that same sort, in any format, are free. If you sort again, it's a new sort.

With «Export + Scripts», the script outside YouTube is also charged by minutes of audio. On YouTube the script is free.
