DocsSorting
How sorting works
The three choices behind every sort, and what happens while it runs.
A sort is three choices: how many posts, which dates and which metric. All three live in the popup's «Sort» tab.
How many posts
The latest 25, 50, 100, 200, 1,000, a number of your own, or no cap at all. The more you ask for, the longer it takes.
Without Pro the maximum is 25 posts. The other options appear in the dropdown marked «PRO» rather than hidden: nobody buys what they don't know exists.
Which dates
None, the last week, the last month, the last three or six months, the last year, or your own range with a start and an end. Without Pro you can use none or the last week.
Which metric
It depends on what each network publishes. The usual four are Likes, Views, Comments and Oldest first.
- On Threads and LinkedIn there are no views: those networks don't publish view counts on other people's posts.
- On YouTube there are no comments: the channel grid doesn't give that number.
It needs you signed in
ViralFeed works with what that page was already showing you, so it needs you signed in on the network. It's your data, the same data you see when you open it.
What you see while it works
A floating notice with the progress, moving through phases: loading the list, reading the numbers, placing and ordering. When it's done it tells you how many posts it sorted.
Don't scroll while it's working. The engine is moving the grid; if you move it at the same time, they fight. The notice itself reminds you.
The notice lives on the page, not in the popup, so you can close the popup and keep watching it.
Leaving the sort
The bar's «✕ Exit» button puts the page back exactly as it was. ViralFeed never writes to anyone's account.
